How to protect your account?

Last update: 18.03.2026

If a malicious actor gains access to your account, they may, for example, spend the money in your Balance or deceive other okidoki users using your identity.

If you use the same password for different services, a fraudster may hack your social media and cause damage wherever they gain access.

All of this can be avoided by following simple security rules: use a strong password, do not follow suspicious links, and do not share your personal data with anyone.

Attackers do not always hack accounts using technical means. Sometimes they use psychological tricks and persuade users to share confidential information.

Scammers may pretend to be trusted individuals: customer support agents, security specialists, etc. To obtain your password, they may invent different situations.

For example:
your account has been blocked and a password is needed to unblock it
you need to pass verification
complaints have been filed against you

Do not log into your accounts via insecure networks.
If you are using Wi-Fi without a password or other open networks, do not access your accounts or social media. Your login and password may be stolen.

This also applies to shared devices, such as a public or work computer.

Main signs that you are being contacted by a scammer:
You are asked to change the email in your account.
The suggested email may contain the word “okidoki” — this is how scammers try to lower your vigilance.

Attention!
okidoki will never ask you to change your email to a specific one.

You received an “email from okidoki” containing a link.
The email may suggest restoring access, confirming your identity, etc.
Such a link may lead to a fake okidoki login page. If you enter your credentials there, they will be stolen.

Attention!
Always check the links you are asked to follow. If in doubt, contact our support team.

You are asked to provide your account password.
Your password is the most sensitive information in your account.
Never share it with anyone.
Even if someone calls and claims to be from support or security.

Attention!
okidoki employees never ask for your account password. This information is only needed by scammers.
